Basic Magics

This is a small listing of the things I use every day. These simple tools are things I've often been using all of my life, or at least since the age of 3. I discovered how to do basic energy work at that young age through an interesting accident of genetics... my parents weren't magical types per se, but did have interesting tricks inherent in themselves, and the combination of them allowed me to really realize what was possible at that young age. So, here are the basic skills I use every day, sometimes every moment, to make my life better and have more Flow.

1. Energy Work

The basic theory of energy work is that there is a life energy that flows in all living things, and that one sufficiently trained or talented can sense this life energy and manipulate it to some degree. This is the main skill that I've had since I was very young, and it is my opinion that all forms of real magic are actually based in energy work.

Although life energy, referred from here on just as energy, can be willed to do most anything, there are things it is good at, and things it isn't good at. It's not very good, for example, at moving nonliving objects. It just isn't built for that. It is, however, good at speeding up or slowing down one's metabolism, either whole-body or in specific areas, leading to improved healing time if managed correctly.

Changing the flow of one's own energy can lead to being more active, more awake, more able to succeed at things. As such, once I started doing it, I haven't stopped. It's addictive, and useful, at almost all points in my life. I do little alterations to my energy pattern pretty much constantly, switching between passive and active modes, and being sure that I have the proper defenses so that no one effects me negatively unless I allow it.

2. Chaos Magic

Chaos Magic means a lot of things, but mostly I mean it to be changing my beliefs about reality in convenient ways. For example, if I want to talk to another person about their spirituality, I match their belief structure to truly understand it. I do this by asking a few questions, and drawing on my extensive knowledge of religion and spirituality. It helps a lot to know what the other person believes, to help them on their path.

3. Flow Magic

Flow Magic is, chiefly, applied intuition. I allow the instincts that I've trained to guide my actions and simply flow like water or wind from one situation to the next. This allows me to use my concious "thought cycles" on future planning. How do I do future planning? Lots of ways, many of them simply logic, but the fourth magic I use every day is mostly about future planning. I'll get to that in a moment, though.

Flow Magic also helps me to get things done easier, and to "roll with the changes" in an easier fashion. I dodge things that would harm me before I even notice the problem, and when work is actually important, I simply get done what needs to be done, at the right time, every time. Now, this doesn't make me perfect; it just makes me "not fail". All that's guaranteed is that I get the minimum done; this doesn't mean a thing for getting the best result.

4. Fate Magic

Many people use this term to mean different things, so ignore what you have heard before about the term and only read what I write, with reference to how I work. Got it? Good. Let's get started.

Fate Magic, when I use the term, means looking at the possibilities that exist in my own future, and every other person's future that touches mine, and if it's really important every person that touches those who touch my future, further out as long as I want to go. I can see very clearly what the worst cases, best cases, and probable cases are when I do this, and thus plan accordingly. This allows small, "butterfly effect" actions to go my way far more often than not.

This is just the everyday stuff I tend to do. There are a lot more things that help me seek Flow, and generally enjoy life more than I would otherwise. I'll probably talk about them when they come up.

Welcome to Chaos Flow!

This blog is a simple project of mine that aims to present my views on reality to anyone interested in understanding them. Within, I plan on posting about anything that interests me and not holding back. This includes a great many things, but first and foremost is the nature of reality, and my experiences within it. I view reality differently than most people, or so people I tell about my views say, so this is where I'll post about such things, as well as honest updates about my life and interests.

So, you're wondering, why Chaos Flow? The answer to that is simple: I'm a Chaos Magician, and chiefly concerned with the concept of Flow, within energy, music, motion, and reality in general. I probably mean something different by Flow than you're used to, so I'll explain it. Also, in case you don't understand what a Chaos Magician is, I'll explain that too.

Flow, when I talk about it, is a concept of progressive and changing motion. If the energy within your body has Flow, you're more likely to be energetic and active. If your music has Flow, it seems to be going somewhere. If your motion has Flow, you look graceful, but not delicate, and get where you're going with ease and efficiency. If your work has Flow, you simply proceed to do what you need to do, and it seems like the easiest thing in the world, even when you're attempting difficult things. If you achieve Flow within reality, your intuition tells you what to do, at all times, so clearly that except when a real decision needs to be made, life is easy and almost automatic. I seek Flow whenever I can, in all things.

A Chaos Magician is one who can change their beliefs to match the reality they want to live in, at the moment. This allows one to use the advantages of pretty much any religious or spiritual path that one can study, if done correctly, without most of the disadvantages. I use the tools of whatever religion I need, at the moment, to get done the things I want to get done with spirituality.

So, Chaos Flow means seeking the concept of Flow within Chaos Magic, so that I simply travel through reality in the most convenient manner of the moment, in an ever-changing pattern driven by my intuition. I hope to explain what this means to me, list the changes that I notice, and generally be as open and honest as possible about reality. I hope you enjoy reading it.
